1. Who we are

Ouroboros Play Ltd. (“Ouroboros Play”, “we”, “us” or “our”) develops software, games and artificial intelligence applications. We are responsible for personal information described in this notice when we determine how and why it is processed.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • contact and account details, such as your name, email address and login information;
  • purchase and subscription details, such as the product, price, currency and transaction status;
  • communications, support requests, survey responses and feedback;
  • technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device, operating system, log data, crash data and interactions with our services; and
  • content you submit to a product where this is necessary to provide its features.

Payment card details are generally collected directly by our payment provider and are not stored by us.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to provide and secure our products; create and administer accounts; process and verify purchases; provide support; send service messages; analyse performance; improve our products; prevent fraud and abuse; meet legal, tax and accounting duties; and, where permitted, tell you about relevant products.

4. Legal bases

Where laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply, we process information because it is necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving our services, or because you have given consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Payments and Paddle

We use Paddle to support checkout, payment processing, subscriptions, invoicing, tax compliance, fraud prevention and refunds. Paddle may act as merchant of record and process your information as an independent controller under its own privacy notice. Information shared may include contact, billing, order, device and transaction details. Please review Paddle’s Privacy Policy.

6. Other sharing

We may share information with service providers that host, secure, analyse or support our products; professional advisers and authorities where legally required; a buyer or successor in a corporate transaction; and third parties you direct us to connect with. Providers may use information only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information for money.

7. International transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use recognised safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, to protect international transfers.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including to provide services and meet legal, tax, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and applicable obligations, after which information is deleted or anonymised.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a data protection authority. You may also opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe link. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

11. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it, unless a product specifically says otherwise and includes suitable protections. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information without required permission.

12. Cookies

Our website and products may use essential cookies or similar technologies for security, preferences and core operation. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will provide any notice and choice required by applicable law.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as our practices or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted here with a revised effective date.
